Obama Fed Up With Mispronunciations of Name, Creates New Phrase "Obama Rhymes With Yo Mama"

Written by  Julien Blower

President Obama, tiring of hearing his name mispronounced, has begun to pepper his replies to anyone saying his name with “yo mama,” or sometimes “Obama rhymes with yo mama!”

The strange Presidential exchange began during a press conference on his international tour.  Journalists who claim English is their first language apparently began experimenting with the pronunciation of the President’s last name, such as O- BAME-A, to rhyme with O-NAME-A, or O-BAMMA, to rhyme with, O-SLAMMA. After repeated mispronunciations, the President put up his hand, and said “Enough!  I’m O-BAH-MA, rhymes with yo mama!”  Realizing their mistake, the newly assigned press agents chuckled, muttered “yo mama” repeatedly to themselves, then one very young reporter finally said, “Mister Barrack?” with the emphasis on the first syllable, to sound like a military BARRACKS or, perhaps, the word PARROT.  The President darted a sharp look in her direction, and silently but glumly walked out of the press conference.

There has been no word yet from the President’s press secretary or the Office of the President as to whether the President will continue to use the expression “Obama Rhymes With Yo Mama”, if it is now an official part of his title, or whether reporters should address him as such in beginning their questions.
