Music fans worldwide were shocked to hear that pop icon Whitney Huston was outlived by Keith Richards at 3:55 PST.  Whitney’s death is especially tragic considering her resurgence in the public eye, as opposed to Keith Richards who hasn’t done much besides a “Pirates of the Caribbean” cameo.  The cause of Whitney Houston’s death is still under investigation.  Many speculator’s have mentioned Houston’s history of substance abuse.  Then again, Keith Richards consumed more drugs than food for the better part of two decades, and he’s still kicking (however inexplicably).

Neville Bandershaw, a professor of media studies at Stanford University, says that “It’s a tragedy when something like this happens.  It seems like a cruel joke that Keith Richards should outlive comparatively young and healthy pop icons like Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson.  The man’s done so many drugs, that people have been known to get a contact O.D. from standing near him.”
