Holy shit, Justin Timberlake owns Myspace now, how crazy is that?

Written by  Joe Bloghead

With Wikipedia down on the 18th, and paranoid, unfounded, reactionary fears that Facebook would follow spreading across the The Leaky Wiki newsroom, this journalist checked to see if Myspace was still a thing.

In a move that is not a joke, either based on the fact he appeared in The Social Network or randomness, it has emerged that Timberlake, backed by Specific Media, purchased Myspace in June last year.
Our researchers diligently got in touch with knowledgeable insiders, poured through the legal paperwork filed with Company House, or looked up 'Justin Timberlake Myspace' on the Google machine.
"Either of those could be true as far as you know, why do you have to be so cynical?" asked this journalist to the reader of this article.

The social media website has never had a movie made about it, is therefore less famous than Facebook and therefore less good. Myspace has been operating since August 2003, but has yet to be the subject of an Aaron Sorkin screenplay OR a David Fincher film.

Timberlake this month unveiled revolutionary plans for Myspace TV, which will be different from the music options only in that it will have images to annoy the visitor to every page, as well as awful music.

Reports at the time of purchase said that Timberlake will have an office in Myspace but that he was "probably not going to be there every day".
Amongst our polled respondents, many of them drunk or hungover reporters, this largely drew responses of 'no shit Sherlock'.
